Suspension is a listed company's shares suspended from trading on stock exchanges. Listed Companies in exceptional circumstances may be made to the Stock Exchange and the SFC application claims the exchange-listed shares suspended from trading until then apply for resumption date. When the company requested the suspension, the most common reason is that listed companies have a major announcement, application for shares temporarily suspended from trading for posting messages through the media. For example, the company is preparing the acquisition or sale of assets, or spin-off rumors, merger or reorganization, or if financial problems, in order to prevent abnormal fluctuations in stock prices, companies generally will make a request suspension. Further, in order to prevent unfair trading, stock exchange, under special circumstances, a company will be ordered to active suspension.
